Find out how fast,
strong, and explosive
you actually are.
The Trident Athlete Combine is one morning of coach-led testing — speed, power, strength, and durability. You leave with real numbers, a scorecard, and a straight answer about what to train this season.
- Middle school, high school, and college athletes
- Every test taught and warmed up before it is scored

Most athletes train hard without knowing what is holding them back
A kid gets told to "get faster." So they run more. Or they add weight to the bar because the bar went up last week. Six weeks later the 40 time is the same, the hamstring is tight, and nobody can say why.
Speed, power, and durability are separate qualities. They fail for different reasons. Without measurement you are guessing — and guessing costs an entire offseason.
Testing is not the point. Knowing what to fix is the point.

The combine
A complete performance picture.
Run on our turf and collegiate racks with the same equipment our athletes train on all year. Coaches run every station.
Speed
Acceleration and sprint mechanics.
Power
Jump and throw-based force output.
Agility
Change of direction and reactive movement.
Strength
Force production under load.
Durability
Movement quality and injury-resilience markers.
What to expect on combine day
Check in
Arrive, get your bib number and testing group, and meet your coach. Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the turf edge.
Coached warm-up
Group movement prep and test demonstrations before anything is scored. Every athlete gets practice reps.
Testing
Small groups rotate through the stations. Multiple scored attempts per test, best effort counts.
Results review
Sit down with a coach, review your scorecard, and leave with the one or two things worth training first.
This is for you if
- You play a sport in middle school, high school, or college.
- You want honest numbers instead of a coach's guess.
- You are heading into a fall or winter season and want a plan.
- You have never trained in a weight room and want a safe first step.
- You are coming back from an injury and want a durability read.
This is not for you if
- You want a recruiting showcase with college coaches in the room.
- You are looking for a one-day fix instead of a training direction.
- You are currently injured and not cleared for sport activity.
- You are under 11 or not yet playing organized sport.
Why Trident
Coach-led, in a room built for athletes

- Coaches, not a clipboard. Our staff runs every station, teaches every test, and corrects mechanics before scoring. Athletic development at Trident has always extended beyond game day.
- Collegiate equipment. The same racks, turf, and testing setup our year-round athletes use — from middle school through professional.
- Sport-specific interpretation. A lacrosse midfielder and a lineman read the same scorecard differently. We tell you which numbers matter for your sport and position.
- Local, and here after Sept 26. We are on Zinfandel Lane in Lewes. If you want to keep training, the coach who tested you is the coach who programs for you.

Questions parents and athletes ask
Who is the combine for?
Middle school, high school, and college athletes in any sport. You do not need to be experienced in a weight room. Every test is taught, warmed up, and coached before it is scored.
What if my athlete has never been tested before?
That is most of the room. We run a group warm-up, demo each test, and give practice reps before anything counts. Nobody gets thrown into a max-effort sprint cold.
What happens after we register?
You get a confirmation email within a few minutes and a text from a coach within one business day with arrival time, what to wear, and a check-in link. We only need 10 minutes of your attention before combine day.
How long does it take?
On Saturday, September 26. Plan on a full morning including warm-up, testing, and the results review.
What do the results actually tell us?
You leave with a scorecard covering speed, power, strength, and durability — plus where each number sits against the athlete's age and level. It tells you which quality is the limiter this season.
Is this a recruiting showcase?
No. This is honest testing you can use — for your own training, to send verified numbers to a coach, or to build a fall plan. We do not sell exposure or promise recruitment.
What should we bring?
Training shoes (no cleats on the turf), athletic clothes, and a water bottle. Any braces or supports the athlete normally trains in.
How much does it cost and how do we pay?
Paid on arrival by card or cash. Registration holds the spot; no card is needed to sign up.
What if we sign up and cannot make it?
Call or text 302-291-4247 and we will move the athlete to the next combine date at no cost. No fee is charged if you do not attend.
Where exactly are you?
24147 Zinfandel Lane, Unit 2, Lewes, DE 19958 — off Route 1 behind the business park, with free parking directly outside the bay doors. About 10 minutes from Rehoboth Beach and 15 from Milton.
Sign up. Get tested. Train on purpose.
Saturday, September 26 in Lewes. If your athlete does not leave with numbers they can use, tell a coach that morning and we will refund the fee on the spot.
